The employees of Joelle’s Salon Day Spa proudly walk every year for the cure of Multiple Sclerosis.

Last year we raised over $11,000 and hope that number continues to grow. This year we are walking on April 26, 2008 at NTC Park Liberty Station, San Diego.We walk for this charity in honor of our son, Joseph Jr. Joseph was diagnosed with this disease in 2004. We appreciate all our co-workers, staff, friends, family and associates who have supported our efforts in finding a cure for this disease, We would like you to walk with us and get people to sponsor you or donate to one our walkers. 2007 Walkers

Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another.

Joelle’s Salon Day Spa Toys for Tots Charity collects new, unwrapped baby dolls during October, November and December each year. The official spokesperson for this charity is Marcelina Roccoforte, granddaughter to Joe and Michelle.

Our company has been involved in this charity since 2003. Our granddaughter, Marcelina at 4 years old didn’t quite understand the fact that were some unfortunate little girls that didn’t have a baby doll. Marcelina is determined that every little girl should have a baby doll as she does. Marcelina asked her grandfather to help her “fix” this problem. So she and her Tata chose to raise money to buy baby dolls to deliver to the Toys for Tots Charity.

The first year Marcelina collected enough money to purchase 100 dolls. Every year the collection grew. We have lots of help from our staff, clients, friends and associates. This past year we delivered 736 baby dolls to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots collection facility.

Marcelina will be 9 this year and her goal for 2008 is to deliver 900 baby dolls.
